I have practiced as an architect for 25 years. In my 20's, I started designing houses on the North Coast out of my woodshop in Hammond, and then decided to leave the coast to go to architecture school. After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University, I worked for well known firms in New York and Los Angeles before starting my architecture firm in Portland in 1997. We have designed some beautiful houses and house additions, along with many other types of projects. Now, Emmons Design is based at the coast in Astoria. From Manzanita to Astoria, I can now be very hands on with north coast residential projects, and bring my high level of design, craftsmanship and expertise to this beautiful area.
